The clock arrived 4 days ahead of the scheduled delivery date. The 5 minutes I spent reading the Owners Manual was all that was needed.
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, and the only thing you really have to wait on the WWVB to kick in. In my case, the 30 second error in the minute time was erased when the clock picked up the midnight time hack, since then every thing is working fine.
Had I designed it... I would have used a LED or two to back light the unit, of coures it would have a light/dark sensor.
Good looking, well designed, so far reliable unit. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.

I was rightfully nervous buying another La Crosse wall clock. My previous one was basically a cheap and crappy design that quit displaying various LCD segments the longer it hung on the wall. No it wasn't weak batteries, it was the clunky electrical connection between the circuit board and the LCD panel (I took it apart to investigate).
I wanted to buy the Honeywell RCW33W Wall Clock but couldn't find it with free shipping via Amazon Prime. Also, I wasn't sure it would be any more reliable than the La Crosse. Why gamble?
On the bright side, the clock is still fully functional and the 2 inch tall numbers are fairly readable at 35 feet which meets my needs.
So, now I watch and wait to see if this one craps out too.
Ideally, I'd like to have an atomic clock with 4 inch numbers and the date. No moon phases, no temperature, just the time. And reliable.

I first saw this clock at the shelves of Walmart but opted to get it through amazon because they where the only one who sold the dark brown wood trim at the time. Off the bat I noticed the excellent build quality and design. I suggest you read through the entire manual first before actually doing the setting procedures so you would be able to synchronize the remote unit with the main clock properly. After I had everything set up I double checked the accuracy of the indoor and outdoor readings by comparing reading from a separate thermometer. I even went out to our patio area the confirm the moon phase indicator. They were all on the money. Btw, the clock has two neatly hidden pull out legs which allows you to set it as a desk clock. I'm pretty satisfied with this product and recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this clock 2 months ago from Walmart of all places...and it works as advertised. Keeps accurate ,to the second, time and I have had no problems with the outside temp sensor on the NEW 900mhz frequency. This is a great clock that can be seen from across the room.

I love this La Crosse Atomic Wall Clock - Why you might ask? Well, let me tell you-
I am legally blind. HOWEVER, with the LARGE number display of this clock...I can see the time! I like the shape, design, quietness, and ease of set up. Oh yeah, and the moon phase...well, it's a cute touch...quite the conversation piece actually.
My daughter has a La Crosse...similar but without the moon. I would have rather the design she has - but La Crosse discontinued that design. This clock (& semi weather station) is very good for the price I paid...Yup, I'm very happy with it. 5 stars
