       Just right for me
    Comment:
I have returned a few of the indoor and outdoor wireless weather stations for one reason or another in the past few months.
This one is just right for me and gives me the three views that I wanted. Indoor temp and humidity, outdoor temp and humidity and the an atomic clock. Some of the weather stations have too much clutter for me to see without putting my glasses on. The overall size of this one is smaller than most but the numbers are of good size, one of the reasons that I bought it. It does not look out of place on my end table where I can view from my easy chair. I do not use the computer function at all.

    Comment:
I needed a simple temperature and humidity measuring weather station that would allow me to access the data on my computer in real time. This station does just that, using the USB cable that is included. I am able to do calculations and analysis of the data in real time for a low price.

       software is worthless...
    Comment:
Wish I had read the march 10th review before purchasing, couldn't agree more... I wanted this just about exclusively for the usb and logging ability. I had imagined that it would store a bit of info and then you could download it and view it... nope, has to be plugged into USB all the time with very badly written software running to log it, consuming a constant 30% CPU for no reason. Suspect. I am going to return this.

Oregon Scientific RMS300 USB PC Datalogging Weather Forecaster!
I purchased the RMS300 mainly for the PC data logging feature. Unfortunately, I made the purchase before another reviewer posted a comment critical of that feature. The software supporting the feature is poorly designed, comes with absolutely no help either shipped or online and runs abysmally slow on a laptop with 2G+ dual core CPU and 1GB of RAM. The software also crashes periodically.
When I first tried installing the software from the enclosed CD I got a message directing me to download an upgraded version from an FTP site in China. There was no software visible at the site. I finally did find a version that would install after searching the Oregon Scientific web site. However, as mentioned the software is slow and buggy. I called support where they gave some suggestions that didn't work but said an upgrade would be available. I haven't seen an upgrade yet and the current version is unuseable

    Comment:
We have been using indoor/outdoor thermometers with wired sensors for years, but the cables invariably break under the windows and read nonsense. With the wireless sensor, not only do we eliminate tha cable breakage problem, but the reader can be placed anywhere, not just in the window with the sensor. We plan to get a second unit to have two sensors and two readers so we can read either sensor in each of two places (upstairs and downstairs).

The only unsatisfactory condition is that the USB feature is nearly useless and very poorly documented. For a few cents extra, the reader could store a month of hourly readings which could be transferred to a PC. Maybe next year?
