    Summary:
       Excellent weather station.
    Comment:
I've owned this weather station for a while and it's been a pleasant piece of the home. The background is a color print, but it looks much more attractive than a plain black LCD display. The weather information has been accurate for both inside and outside via the radio controlled outside unit (mount in a dry place [mine is mounted under the garage overhang] and within 50 feet of the base unit). It was relatively easy to setup and use. I like the multiple functions such as atomic clock (works!), alarm, and the variable lighting display (low, high, auto [works according to how dark or light it is in the room] and off with a one-touch button for a 10-second display). Setting the proper altitude will give you more accurate pressure readings and forecasts (search the internet for quick reference to your altitude). Very happy with my weather station!

       Indoor/outdoor weather station

Really a nice weather station, very attractive and provides temperature in and out, humidity and weather conditions. The automatic clock is also nice.

       Not reliable
    Comment:
I run this unit without the five suggested batteries. It runs on just 120VAC, but it constantly loses the correct time, stops scanning the remote transmitter, and is constantly forecasting only storms or rain. I can see the batteries preventing the loss of time, but when the time is reset, it often loses time again almost immediately. I do not think it is acceptable for every blip in my house current to cause the unit to reset.

To start with their really not color, considering they are a Wisconsin co where we are in the cold five months out of the year! they would have a weather station that works past -4F !! The instructions cleary state it will go blank after that and it does!! the humidy reading on the censor will freeze up in the cold usally with in minutes, Ive tried three different ones more of the same! all of this from a cold weather Co! And to top it all of it has to small of a screen 2.5 x4 inch!! Might be good in warm weather but its still over priced should be no higher than 9.99!!

    Summary:
       Meh. It's just ok.
    Comment:
This is a mediocre "forecasting station" by Lacrosse. I have other units by this company and have generally been very satisfied with them, but this unit is the exception. It's not terrible, but not something I would recommend either.

    PROS:
Neat display. Although it's not true color.
The unit itself looks pretty cool sitting on a desk. The shiny black casing melds well with the pseudo-color display.
After a couple initial quirks, the wireless unit has connected and stayed connected across a 20 ft distance.
The backlight is nice and bright. It's adjustable between auto(measures ambient light and adjusts accordingly), high, low or off. When on AC power, the backlight stays on. When on battery, you must press the backlight button to illuminate the LCD and it automatically shuts back off quickly.

    CONS:
Build quality. The base unit feel cheap and "plasticy". The wireless unit is pretty stout, however.
Issues with initial connection between the wireless unit and the base station. I had to do manual resets several times to get a solid connection.
Although it's pretty good looking, the screen is not true color. It just has a color background with a typical black LCD display.
The viewing angle is horrid. A couple of inches up or down and it's quickly washed out. Side to side viewing seems to be better, however.

All in all, the unit is ok, but NOT worth $60. If you can find it for around $25, it's probably worth that.
