The La Crosse Technology WS-9004U Wireless Rain Center displays total rain and rainfall for the last 24 hours, along with a current rainfall indicator (light or heavy rain indicators). A user defined rainfall alarm for the past 24 hours allows you to be alerted when needed. The rain bucket is wireless and self-tipping. Transmission range 330 feet and the display unit updates every 4.5 seconds.

This is the second La Crosse wireless rain gauge I have had and I love it. I live at the coast where we receive an abundent amount of rain, and it is more pleasant to read the gauge from inside the house than going outside in a storm to dump or read the rain gauge accumulation amount. Also, is great for watering needs in the summer flower beds with our sandy soil.

I could not get it to work after three weeks. I am use to complicated, reliable, scientific instruments( I am an Analytical Chemist) and this item is not one of them! I contacted the company and their replies were canned and useless. Even at its best, you have to take the batteries out of each piece to reset it. What is wrong with a simple shunt button? My advice is to try something else. I may use it for target practice. BGR , Central NJ

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. Due to it arriving in winter, my husband was not able to set it up until spring (when the return time frame had ended). He was never able to get a signal at the receiver in spite of hours of varying the placement of the sensor. I wish I had read the other unfavorable reviews prior to purchase, as I never would have bought it. I gave this product 1 star as I was unable to to change the rating to a zero...is that a strong enough statement?! Don't buy!

Easy to use and get set up...I have a couple of LaCross Tech. products and have no complaints with any of them....batteries seem to last forever....there are other LaCross products that have a few more features but this serves our needs very well.
