Didn't work out of the box

The unit never picked up an atomic time. When first plugged in the remote temperature sensor worked. It never worked again after I temporarily took out the batteries to hang it outside. Doesn't deserve the 1 star!

Well, I have been woken up an hour early every morning or not at all because the alarm clock updates at midnight and I don't know how to fix it. So frustrating. The only reason it got a 2 star review instead of 1 star is because I like the temperature readings.

We think this product is outstanding.
Yes, you have to be able to follow directions and interpret them, as you must with VCR's, etc. Ours was up and running in five minutes. We were surprised that you could see the display without total darkness. Plus it is not so bright as to be a distraction. The projection is electronically rotatable via the center button.
The fact that the clock's accuracy is assured with radio reception from WWV is most excellent. I'm sorry I didn't get one for each of our kids. The outdoor sensor can be set up with all of the clocks so only one is needed for all.
For others that have issues with these more complex units, stay with the analog clocks! The only drawback we saw was the main display is hard to see when you turn the illumination on. So we just use the projection.

Hi Everyone:
Not sure how many stars to give...
I ordered this clock after days and hours of searching on the net to decide which clock to buy. I wanted to get one with a projector for my husband. I did not want to buy the cheapest nor the most expensive one.
This clock looked cute, nicely designed. We got the clock two days ago.
First of all, I think it is nice.
But, I would recommend the manufacturers/retailers to add a lot more details on items.
The first thing, when we get something is excitedly open it and start using it. They should have put a large sign/note over the packaging inside, NOT TO INSTALL any batteries in the units until we read instructions.
This clock has a weird way of setting it up, first not install any batteries, do not plug the clock into AC, but wait 10 minutes just having the parts out there...???
Then install the batteries in the temperatures (small) unit, then into the clock (or plug it into the AC). Then do not touch ANY buttons for 15 minutes, so the two units can communicate.
After 15 minutes, everything should work, including the outside temperature unit (but you do not have to take it outside).
Well, I did everything according to directions, I repeated it about 4 times in two days, but we still cannot see the outside temperature on the clock, it does not work. Since the projector shows the time and temperature on the wall for 5 seconds each continuously, it is a bother that the temperature is just --F degrees all the time.
I am thinking of returning it today, however I really liked how I could see the time on the wall during the night without having to move in my bed :). I am afraid of trying a different one...
All in all, it is very useful, great during the night (you cannot see the projection during the day), but one function does not work...
Sincerely,
Adry
