Complete with wind measurements, this weather station allows users to assess outdoor temperatures and humidity levels to plan appropriately for weather conditions, while also monitoring indoor climate for household comfort. The sleek station mounts on a wall or stands alone on a tabletop. An easy-to-read display backlit with LED conveys indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidity levels, air pressure, time of day, date, wind speed and direction, wind chill and dew point, lunar phase, and daily minimum and maximum recording for temperature and wind speed. Simple graphic icons depict the indoor comfort level, while other graphics denote the outdoor forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours with 75 percent accuracy. A beaufort scale bar graph depicts wind speed. Users can view temperatures in Fahrenheit or Celsius increments, and can opt to display time of day in military time. The weather station also includes an alarm clock that sounds with increasing volume to rouse sleepers gradually. Radio-controlled by WWWB, the clock resets daily for continued accuracy. An outdoor temperature sensor and wind speed sensor also accompany the system. The two sensors can interlock to share both wireless communication to the base unit and common power source. I had a weather station before and it was about half the price of the new one and the difference is a little different graphics and the wind and wind chill element. I installed it just the way the directions had provided, but the wind and wind chill do not work. When there are winds of 30 mph it shows at best 2.2 mph. I go down and make sure that it is turning, and it is. So save yourself some money and do not buy the one with the wind device.

I received this unit as a gift and most of it worked, well sort of, the wind read out does not work at all and the humidity is very inaccurate. I did contact La Crosse and wasn't about to pay shipping both ways and insurance to return the product, so I will donate the unit to a yard sale.
