  • Product Description
This wireless temperature station lets you know what’s happening both inside and out. The station is shaped like a thermometer and divided into three areas of information. At the very top of the skinny screen, the manually set quartz clock displays the time in hours and minutes and in 12- or 24-hour mode. The middle of the display shows the percentage of indoor temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius degrees, while the bottom half of the display reports outdoor temperatures in Fahrenheit or Celsius using an included remote sensor. For more accurate outdoor readings, the base unit can receive information from up to three different sensors, which can each be placed up to 330 feet away. The weather station records the minimum and maximum indoor and outdoor temperatures within a 24-hour period and recalls them at your prompting. The wireless weather station requires two AAA batteries for the receiver and another two for the remote sensor. This unit is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Has worked great for 3 years
    Comment:
We have had one working without problems for three years. The battery replacement procedure is a bit arcane (still easy though), which is why it lost one star. Our remote unit is located on our deck a few feet away, screwed into a rail post using the provided bracket. It's been working for the past two years with a bit of tape over the batteries since I lost the battery compartment door. We live in the mid-atlantic region with plenty of rain a moderate amount cold weather. The remote unit has been exposed to the elements, although it does get a bit of shelter from the rail above it. I'm about to order two more as gifts.

I've had this for 3 years and love it!

I bought this 3 years ago and it's still going strong. Be sure to keep the instructions for setting it up, you'll need them when you change the batteries.

I placed the remote within a ziploc bag and placed it underneath a plant stand on my deck, where it's been for 3 years now. The batteries lasted 2 years, but then I live in NC where it doesn't get that cold in the winter.

I have it sitting on my kitchen counter and I love being able to glance to see what the temp is outside.

       Not a rainy day product
    Comment:
The Weather Channel WS-7034TWC-IT-CBP Wireless Temperature Station The outdoor temp reading stop after a rainy day. I brought the sensor unit inside and the water just poured out of it. Go figure. You would think that if it's to be mounted outdoors, at least it would be waterproof - not. This product is a waste of money.

    Comment:
This never worked from day one. We were very careful to keep the sensor and base within 6 feet of each other, separated only by a glass window. It never could read the sensor for more than an hour. And this was in mild fall weather. Go with Oregon Scientific products. My whole family (and now us, too) have had great success with them.
