Has some downfalls -- but this clock is perfect for me

Comment:
This clock works great for me. It runs great on battery power, and is very easy to illuminate with a tap of the good-sized snooze button on the top. That is also great in the mornings, because I definitely press the snooze button a lot. I've had problems in the past where I found the alarm off button easier to press than the snooze button (clearly a bad design, but this clock definitely does not have that problem).
I've only had one problem, since the alarm set/unset button is also the button to turn the alarm totally off in the morning, I once pressed this button one too many times, causing me to sleep in hours too late the next morning.
Unlike some other reviews I read, the alarm actually does crescendo. It starts out with one beep, then a slightly louder beep, then it adds multiple beeps and loudness as time goes on. The beeping isn't the best possible alarm, but it works for me.
Setting the alarm is very straightforward, and the thermometer is a nice added bonus, especially as a college student in a dorm room with poor heating temp control, it can provide a heads up when it's time to open the windows before you're totally sweating.
I guess I have to mention the other con here -- in more rural areas the signal for the time can be pretty weak and take a long time to set, and once you set it manually, that time sticks. That's not a huge problem because I'm perfectly capable of setting the time myself. The clock will eventually set from the weaker signal but I didn't find the wait worth it.
It may be worth mentioning that the small bend in the bottom also makes it a great candidate to balance on top of a slightly-smaller-than-the-clock bedpost (again I used this in a college dorm room). The rubbery grips don't hurt either in case it moves around when atop said bedpost.
Despite the small drawbacks I've found I really do think this is a great clock, worthy of 5 stars.

How I love my clock
|
Comment:
I love this clock (I would make it blue numbers as blue is my favorite color and then my read out would match my clock but that is just me)The clock said it would take up to 72 hours to set but it did it in minutes not hours. I love being able to look up at the ceiling and see what time it is and that is why I ordered it. Nothing I don't like about it.

Great little clock

Comment:
My father had owned one of these clocks for years and it finally gave out. I ordered another for him and one for me.
We're both very pleased with the function of this clock. Bright red numbers shining on the ceiling or wall (I have to tilt the clock to see it on a wall). That is the only drawback to this cutie - you cannot adjust the projection display. That is the least of my worries when I have a clock! It keeps great time - hey, it's atomic!
Keep up the good work.

I always like Oregon Scietific products. They automatically set their time. the overhead display at night is big enough for me to see without contacts or glasses.

Comment:
just like old times, this one has some new and improve feature like the temperature inside, which is great and accurate. i have bought the older version of it before and it worked great also, no complains from me. good projection, clear and easy to see at night. no more twisting and turning to look at clocks.
