A Primer on CO2 and Climate, 2nd Edition

Our Price: $14.95 Availability: | Usually ships in 24 hours |
Product Description Much of the world is poised to take very drastic steps to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the hope that doing so will keep the world from becoming overheated. Indeed, some alarmists call for an 80% reduction in burning of fossil fuels (from which the world gets 85% of its energy) by 2050. But does CO2 really control climate? Perhaps we should look at the facts before committing to CO2 reduction policies that would surely be devastating. Hayden's Primer is based on the notion that the first step in understanding the relationship between CO2 and climate is to gather the facts. Outputs from computer programs are not data.

A true scientific questioning of midia sensationalism.

Comment:
Regardless of real causes of global warming which are long from clear, the book points out an objective scientific questioning of the "facts" that are being presented as the final true. Very productive line of thinking for whom likes to get to the understanding of reality instead of being brain washed by midia sensationalism.

Someone recommended this book to me. So I went here, and all I see are glowing reviews. Yet, if you check up on this retired professor, he sits on an orgainization called CFACT that have received over $472,000 from ExxonMobil over that last seven years. CFACT has been critical of government regulation on many issues, including the o-zone layer, mercury emissions, global warming, toxic waste and the use of pesticides. While buying this 14.95 book helps supplement his income. It is pretty clear who is funding his retirement.

Summary:
A Very Good Primer

Comment:
Since I agree with the previous 5 star reviews, I will add only the bottom line or "Final Note"from the book "Every rational person as understood from the beginning that strong reductions in CO2 emmissions would be nearly impossible to meet, and that people everywhere would suffer impoverishment with its attendant starvation and disease.
And for what?"
Thus I recommend that everyone interested in climate change read this small book and try to understand what is really going on. We have many other things to work on that can help the earth and poeple rather than to waste time, energy, and resources to a non problem.
